Aquagold is a form of collagen induction therapy. It varies slightly to the traditional form of microneedling in that the treatment utilises a device, which infused with a concentrated infusion serum, is stamped into the skin. And through the stamping motion is what stimulates the production of collagen which so greatly benefits our skin.
Results from an Aquagold facial can be seen as early as 3-7 days post treatment and can last approximately up to 3-4 months. Depending on your treatment plan and primary skin concern, an initial course of 3 treatments spaced at 6 weeks apart are recommended followed by sessions 1-2 times a year to maintain and improve overall appearance of the skin.
Once you have decided to have your laser hair removal, you should not pluck or wax at least one month prior to the treatment. Aside from self-tanning products, you should also avoid unnecessary sun exposure on areas to be treated, one month before and after treatment. Do not apply Retinol or Retinoic acid-containing creams/lotions, peeling agents or diamond peel one week before your procedure.

The device itself contains 20 micro-channel needles thinner than a strand of human hair and made of gold-plated stainless steel. This surgical grade stainless steel provides structural integrity of the micro-channelling needles, whilst the 24ct gold-plating delivers anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-aging benefits to the skin.
During the treatment, the device will penetrate the skin’s protective outer layers to access the middle layer of the skin, known as the dermis, where injectable treatments can reach the body’s blood circulation system.
